Who are we?

605 Blinds was launched in 2024 by father-son duo, Jon and Justin Sanders.

Both Jon and Justin have a passion for serving others through the gifts they’ve been given and are excited to use 605 Blinds to continue to do that!

    We approach each interaction with a joyful and humble heart, seeking to understand the concerns and desires of each individual client to provide them with the best SOLUTION for their unique space.

    We enthusiastically search for ways to best serve our clients in ways beyond simply putting shades in windows.

    We work diligently to provide the best product, the best team, the best service and the best price in order to serve you in the best way possible. 

  • We believe the world has serious lack of healthy leaders.

    We also believe strong leaders are key to making the world a better place, and want to train our whole team to be great leaders; not only within 605 Blinds, but also in their families, schools, and community.

    That’s why we’ve created the ‘605 Blinds Leadership Fund’.

    With the 605 Blinds Leadership Fund, we’re able to invest into upcoming and existing leaders, fine-tuning and developing them to make positive impacts in their own communities and ultimately having them raise up and develop others.

    This multiplication effect is POWERFUL!

    5% of all 605 Blinds proceeds go to this fund.

  • Nothing happens by accident.

    If proper care and attention are not given to something (even the small things), it inevitably drifts towards mediocrity We are very thoughtful and intentional in EVERYTHING we do. We are constantly reviewing and evaluating our processes so that we give the best we can to our customers.

    Everything, and we mean everything is carefully thought through before doing it. This affects the way we look when we show up to your home, the way we speak, how we install a shade, etc. Everything we do is intentionally filtered through the lens of excellence and serving our customers well!

  • We seek to create a community that is built on the foundation of joy and relationships as it cultivates a community that is driven towards CONNECTION.

    We laugh together, host events for our team as well as our community, and continually find ways to uplift those around us! 

Jon Sanders - Owner

Jon Sanders

Hi there! I’m Jon Sanders, one of the co-founders of 605 Blinds. I have been in service-based industries pretty much my entire adult life that has taken me on an exciting and interesting career path.

I have worked as a full-time professional firefighter/EMT for two different large cities as well as served on two volunteer fire departments in smaller, rural communities. My time spent in the role of a first responder gave me a strong foundation and passion for work that is primarily focused on serving others.

In 2004 my life took an interesting turn as I sensed a strong calling to serve people through pastoral ministry. I had the privilege of serving as a full-time pastor and church planter for nearly 17 years. I continue to work on staff at New Life Church in Sioux Falls and love the ways I get to serve people through that endeavor.

Over the years I also discovered a strong entrepreneurial gifting inside of me and have started several different businesses. I currently own and operate Dakota Small Jobs, a premier handyman business that serves the Sioux Falls community.

My son Jusin and I are excited to be working together to start 605 Blinds as yet another way for us to create value in our community and serve others.

In addition to all of my career work, some of the most important roles I get to fill are that of I’m a husband, dad, and now grandpa to two amazing grandsons (they call me “Papa Jon”!). When I’m not working or spending time with my family, some of the other ways I have include hunting, fishing, hiking, racquetball, and cheering for the Minnesota Vikings!

Justin Sanders

Hey! My name is Justin. I’m one of the owners at 605 Blinds.

I grew up in Flandreau, SD and moved to Sioux Falls in 2018 just after high school.

Being creative is one of my strong suits, especially in the artistic world. I love writing music, photography, and filmmaking.

At 17, this creativity led me to start my media production company called Sanders Media, creating photo and videos for businesses + events.

(We do a lot of real estate content!)

Another area this creativity has led me is to music and audio production

In addition to that, (I got my hands in a lot of buckets, don’t I?) I write and record music with my friends in a full recording studio I built in my basement.

Through all of these creative endeavors I’ve found the underlying theme in all of them is serving others. I truly enjoy using the skills I’ve been given to serve other people.
